Love Kanta Bosniak's guided imagery for weight loss CD. Kanta's caring voice conveys her passion and compassion for this subject. She's a great role model for weight loss having lost a great deal herself. This CD is so relaxing I usually drift off before the end and even though I don't remember it I know I'm being guided closer to a place of loving myself. I've fallen asleep to it many times and find that listening to it in bed at night provides a soft reminder to gently care for myself that lingers with me throughout the next day. If you like this then also buy the book, which contains more and different helpful information imparted in Kanta's usual bright and playful style.
I had a significant amount of weight to lose, and lost about 80% of it on my own. But then I hit a plateau that went on... and on. I felt like I had exhausted all my options - I was exercising regularly and had changed what I was eating. My problem seemed to be in my relationship with food and the way I thought about it... Eating one chip would lead to eating the whole bag. Obsessing for hours after dinner about needing to eat ice cream and then not being able to stop at one serving. (And who wants to give up ice cream completely and forever?) A friend of mine suggested I give hypnosis a shot. That seemed a little new agey to me but I thought I had tried everything else so why not?

I love this audiobook. I am an anxious person in general and in the past when I have tried to do meditation, the thoughts would get away from me and I would end up more frustrated than when I started. The music is both uplifting and relaxing, and Ms. Bosniak's voice is so soothing - they work together really well. I started listening to this whenever I was getting anxious about food and it helps me recenter myself. (I found I was so relaxed after using it that I now use it when I am getting anxious about other things, and it never fails to help me calm down.) It is much easier now for me to slow down and enjoy my food and not obsess so much. More importantly, it's helped me cut back significantly on the amount of negative self-talk I've been subjecting myself to. All in all, I feel more beautiful, positive and put together than I have felt in a long time (and I just pulled a bunch of clothes out of the basement that I haven't fit into in 12 years) so it's been an excellent experience for me and I will probably continue to use it even after I reach my goal.
Kanta Bosniak's CD has landed at a welcome time for me in my quest for well-being, and in ways that I think many others could relate to. A peaceful, relaxing journey of self-love, positive reinforcement, and true acceptance is a healing balm for those confused and wounded by a world of paradoxes about weight-loss and healthy living.

After years of attempting to reach a healthy weight I have grown frustrated with all of the weight-loss and health advice out there-- with each piece of new research or information there is always something to contradict it! I was especially discomforted by Advice's pushy counterpart-- the don'ts, the no's, and the forget-about-it's. I felt like most of the voices being pushed on me were saying something along the lines of, "This will make you fat," "This has too many toxins," "Don't eat that, it's bad for you," "Your brain is producing hormones that sabotage your weight-loss efforts," "Your genetics have doomed you," "'Tis the season for weight gain," etc, etc, etc. These negative voices make me feel trapped and helpless, like I would never find a solution to fit my lifestyle.

I am trying Kanta's CD at a time when these frustrations are especially constricting to me, as well as amidst a seasonal flurry of pressure to overeat. I have done one-on-one hypnosis in the past, but was curious to see how I would do on my own. After settling into a comfortable position, Kanta does the rest, facilitating my descent into deep relaxation. It feels comforting and relieving to be in a peaceful space all to myself, free from worry or outside pressure; it feels good to be doing something good for ME! Sometimes thoughts creep in but I just try to let myself fall into that moment knowing that nothing else was more important in that instant, and I relax into that.
I really love Kanta's suggestions. They ring with subtle and deep truth. My body feels that what she says is true; my inner self responds to her words, the true self that has always been there loving me and waiting for me to love it in return. I feel like my cells rearrange and reprogram themselves joyfully and easily each time I listen to it, and my body welcomes these changes.

Kanta's CD is a welcome breath of fresh air. It goes to the root of the matter and nourishes it with self-love and acceptance - no "don'ts" necessary. She sheds light on the weight-loss process as an act of reclaiming your body's optimum weight and health, an act of reclaiming who you really are-- a happy, beautiful person. It was a reminder that our higher self can take care of us if we let it, and I personally welcome this change into my life. It not only feels good to know that my mind and body are in full cooperation with my weight-loss goals, it is also a huge relief-- who better to have on your side than your self!
I absolutely love Kanta and this CD. I find it to be motivating and relaxing. The problem is that I ordered two of the CD's and both of them skip as you are going down the stairway. I am so frustrated that I can't hear the rest of the CD. There must be a defect in the CD so not sure if it works for weight loss or not. Please bring in more of these CD's that do not skip.
